Atlanta Arts & Culture

Cities are made of brick, and mortar, and glass, and steel. But what gives a city a soul is its culture—the collective spirit of the people who live, work and play there. In the Capital of the South, this essence is expressed largely through sweeping displays of public art, impeccably maintained museum collections, myriad galleries featuring works by renowned visionaries, and in theatres, both modern and historic, where the stories of Atlanta continue to be told.

Art, however, is also subjective. We bring our own experiences to a display of creative intuition, and in such participation, allow ourselves to be shaped by it. The arts and culture of Atlanta are as varied as the tastes of the people who call the city home, and so, we’ve cultivated a series of guides to give a taste of the diversity of expression this city has to offer.
