Buyers look for HOMES, not houses. They buy homes they FEEL they would like to live in. One of the major factors in getting your home sold quickly, for the highest price and without a lot of hassle is very simple:
MAKE IT FEEL LIKE “HOME.”
Most buyers choose a home on EMOTIONS. Once they make a decision to buy, they justify the decision with LOGICAL reasons: facts and features. So, it’s most important to make your home appeal to all senses. Your property is NOT the only home the buyers will see. You are competing with other homes in the market, and some of them have are professionally "staged" showrooms.
So...just like any "showroom", your home needs to appear in "perfect" condition EVERY DAY! I understand this can be difficult...but, a home remaining unsold on the market is more trouble than keeping it tidy. Remember, if buyers aren't drawn to the image created by the front of your house, they will never see the inside! Fresh paint on your front door, touch up trim, colorful flowers in the front - all these factors communicate an "I care" attitude to buyers.
